What a plonker! Taxi driver takes smiling selfie with drugs cops then gets arrested

A taxi driver from Kalasin was all smiles when he picked up some narcotics officers who said they wanted to return to base.

 

He was so happy to have the drugs officers in his cab that he took a selfie with them.

 

But he seemed to have forgotten that he was wanted on a warrant for drugs offences himself committed in Korat.

 

The police knew about him and had called his taxi in a sting operation. Athit picked them up unwittingly and drove them to the Drugs Suppression Division head office in Bangkok.

 

As soon as they reached the steps of HQ he was arrested and the penny dropped.

 

He admitted he was wanted on a drugs charge and was promptly detained and then sent to Nakorn Ratchasima to face the rap.

More likely thought he was being clever.

 

How funny to have a picture to show his mates later, while explaining that drug cops are so dumb they get into wanted suspect's cab.

I needed this after becoming depressed by all the hate being spouted on the Brexit and Trump items.
