any idea where to get rennet here?

im not even sure what it is although ive heard of it.

never made cheese in my life but ive cut it many times.  :smile:

i would like to give it a try so thanks in advance for any help.

Looks really tasty. Any idea what the calorific content is?

 

I've made paneer before, it's an Indian cheese that's really easy to make. It doesn't have a really strong flavour but it adds a nice chewy texture to curries such as saag paneer made with spinach.

 

Calories are about the same as brie.

Many places sell Haloumi in Thailand or at least Bangkok. This is a chunk I bought at Villa. Passiondelivery had it as well. Exactly the same look when you fry it. Use oil and sprinkle herbs on it.
