December 12, 200619 yr It's about 6 or 7 months since I've moved in this apartment and I need the air conditioners serviced. Does anyone know any company who is handling these things? Alex
December 12, 200619 yr Why not contact the apartment building management? Generally, the people at the front desk can arrange for repair and maintenance.

I've done that 3 times in the past 6 days...nobody knows anything, but they sure as h_ll know what shirt I had a week ago and what time I went to school Anyways, does anyone know any company or something?
December 12, 200619 yr Normally any air conditioner sales shop will be able to provide service. And your front desk should know local persons as they drop advertisements in mail box and post on poles often. If you know any Thai in the building perhaps they would have better luck.

Easy to give them a basic service yourself - 1. take the filters off the indoor unit and vacuum or brush them. 2. take off the outdoor unit casing, (turn off power first), get a hose and some light detergent and spray the outdoor unit coil and rinse off. If they need topping up with refrigerant, that's for someone who has the right tools/equipment/refrigerant, 3. Clean out drip tray to indoor unit, by flushing through with water. note: if your a/c does need topping up its very likely there is a small leak on the pipework. Common leaks are found on the flare nut connections to the outdoor unit. Make sure the engineer does this rather than just topping up.
December 13, 200619 yr Author Thanks, helicoptor, but it also needs topping up and even if it wasn't...well, just think of me as a person who would take down an entire apartment just to change an electrical plug
