Music Shops

Does anyone know of any good, reasonably priced musical instruments shops in Chiang Mai. I may look into buying a guitar if I'm able to stay for fair while. I'd only be after a decent acoustic guitar doesn't need to be amazingly good quality. I'd also ask about drums but I don't think I'd make the best of friend with neighbours and the like!!

I've checked out many of the shops in town & my favorite is Music Connection on the Superhighway, between Lotus & the Mae Rim Rd. intersection. They've got a good selection of quality instruments & very friendly, helpful staff.

There's also a shop on Charoenprathet about 50 metres or so on the left, after turning left from Sridonchai.

Haven't been in but lots of stuff in the window.

Get a Thai friends . to go with you .

There is a decent amount of music gear shop in chiangmai .

should not be hard to spot

Near Suriwong Bookshop . ( 300-500 meter away . toward the road aheading toward chiangmai gate - just around the Bend )

get a cheap one if you are learning .

i got a two Fender , one arai ( BASS ) , one handmade classcial laying in my house . ....

I can second the recommendation for Music Solution on the Superhighway. There is also a guitar shop on the third floor of Central Kat Suan Kaew, but they tend to be more expensive and did not come off as knowing as much as the Music Connection staff.
