SEOUL (Reuters) - Former U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said on Wednesday he will not run to become president of South Korea, Yonhap news agency reported.

 

Ban spoke at an unscheduled news conference at parliament after meeting the leaders of conservative parties.

He did not say much on the subject. Maybe the recent family scandal had a bearing on his decision. Quote Scandal, gaffes mar ex-U.N. chief's presidential prospects in South Korea. unquote. South Koreans are smart folk they can spot a loser a mile away. To bad no pension top up for you.
