Help with Startingup a reef tank. Where can I get live rocks?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm new in Bangkok and looking for a store where I can get my stuff to start up a marine reef tank. I've heard of Chatuchak and went there over the last weekend, I've walked there for like 6hours, checked  most of the stores with marine supply, but couldn't find any store selling decent live rock. Either a really good live rocks, but way too small, or , large dry Rocks, really nasty, some are even molded, looking like need to be cured for months before i would even consider putting in my tank.   I like the variety of fish and coral they have, but I'm yet to find a store with large, high quality live rocks.

I'm planning to do a  48"x24"x24" mixed reef  and looking for 60~80lbs of cured, high quality live rocks.  Anyone who's keeping a reef tank, please guide me on where to get those stuffs.

Are they artificial or natural? I don't mind artificial rocks at  all, if it's natural, are they cured? I'm only interested with cured rocks if they are natural.

Cured
