December 13, 200619 yr hello,i just want to know if the ROYAL THAI EMBASSY in Laos will give tourist visa?coz im planning to get my tourist visa there,if my 90days visa exemption will be over(3visa runs). does it easy to get tourist visa there?what are the requirements for a tourist visa?do they really ask for a return ticket?
December 13, 200619 yr Have the same question. (but am on a Penang issued tourist visa). need another three months to sort out leaving the country after an enjoyable 8 years. Anyone?
December 13, 200619 yr Ladn, if you are a genuine tourist you should have no problem getting a tourist visa at any Thai consulate. But as a genuine tourist, knowing that you would be touring Thailand for longer than 90 days why did you not apply for a double- or triple-entry tourist visa before leaving your home country? -- Maestro The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
December 13, 200619 yr Bangkokgas, you have been in Thailand as a tourist for eight years continuously? -- Maestro The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

December 13, 200619 yr Every indication so far is that they will issue at least one tourist visa, and probably more - only time will tell however.
December 13, 200619 yr Bangkokgas, you have been in Thailand as a tourist for eight years continuously?-- Maestro Maestro - have had tourist, work permit and non-o over the years. Just happen to be on a tourist at the moment. Not too concerned whether they give me a visa or not. Will just be a hassle with apartment in Bangkok. We'll just fly to japan if necessary, and come back three months later to srt out aforementioned apartment. (realise there are no direct flights to Tokyo from vientiene!) Cheers, B.Gas

December 13, 200619 yr just got back from my latest trip to the Thai embassy in Vientiane, had no problems being issued a new tourist Visa and as far as I could see no one else did either, Ive been going to Vientiane more recentley after many trips to Penang over the years and find it a much more pleasant town, although very sleepy and not much to do at night. make the most of it and enjoy draught beer Laos, cheap good quality french wine(unlike Thailand) and if you have the time a trip to Vang Vieng or fly to Luang Prabang and make a holiday out of it, you are a tourist(!) after all.
