Koh Lan tourist operator attacked Korean who complained of loud music

PATTAYA: -- A tourist operator who works on Koh Lan has been arrested following an attack on a Korean man in beach road Pattaya last week.

 

Fifty year old Doo Chim Choi had asked three men to turn some music down that was blaring from a pick-up in the middle of the night.

 

The three men got cross and attacked him.

 

One has now been arrested. He is 33 year old Chanon Thong-in-jan of Bang Khae, Bangkok. He was brought to Pattaya police station where the victim and his wife identified him, reported Pattaya News.

 

He admitted what he had done and said sorry. He identified two other fiends as Pan and Pe who were also involved. Chanon said that he was usually working in the tourist trade on Koh Lan.

 

The attack happened near the end of Soi 6 on February 2nd. Police took Chanon's Toyota Vigo truck into evidence.

 

Pattaya News on Facebook did not mention any other arrests in the matter.

I guess one could believe that waiting to pounce on and attack well meaning tourists is part of the local "tourist trade".

He asked them to turn the music down but being  near party soi six on the public road and him as a foreigner is somewhat asking for a problem.i kinda like the Thai music blasting from them cars at beach road.

With Chanon's head at a 45 degree wai, the Korean should have gone for a right hook to the jaw and then pay the 500 THB fine, then wai back and apologize. 

hmm you would expect better from a tourist operator, wouldn't you?

So, they hold the truck for a few days until another brown envelope is delivered?  The BIB like to hold passports, vehicles and other property to extract more tea money.  Happens all the time.  Wake up!

It clearly says the Korean and his WIFE.  Your comments about 'quite liking loud Thai music at 3am' suggests your problem is not confined to your eyes only.

None of that rubbish was reported.  His arrest was, though.
