Non B Visa And Work Permit.

Featured Replies

I went to the thai embassy today in london to get a 1 year non b visa, and they would not give it to me unless i had a work permit.i did have a work permit and it finished at the end of october and i came back on 1st nov.so i had to get my lawyer in thailand to fax a letter saying that i would be working there and i would get a new work permit(but i will not be working )so my question is to get a non b 1 year do you have to have a work permit, before i would just have to show that i had a thai company and show my accounts even if i wasnt working.also if i was to get marriend to my thai gf,does that get me a o visa and can you work on a cat o visa.help would be very helpfull thanks. :o

That does not sound good.

Believe it is normal now not to issue a multi entry without a work permit.

Yes, marriage would allow issue of a non immigrant O visa and you can obtain a work permit with such a visa (as a matter of fact the requirements are less for employer so should be easier to obtain employment being married).
