Door to door search at Dhammakaya temple begins

BANGKOK: -- Department of Special Investigation (DSI) officials, police and soldiers  began door to door search in the 2,000-rai compound of the Dhammakaya temple in the bud to take its stubborn former abbot Phra Dhammachayo for prosecution.

PHUKET: The owner of a restaurant on Koh Khai Nok, off the east coast of Phuket, is to face legal action after officials from the Marine and Coastal Management Office 6 (Phuket) discovered that untreated wastewater from the restaurant was being released into the sea.

LONDON (Reuters) - The head of Britain's Supreme Court has accused politicians of not doing enough to protect the independence of the judicial system when judges came in for harsh criticism from pro-Brexit newspapers last year.

PHUKET: -- Phuket Governor Chockchai Dejamornthan has confirmed to The Phuket News that he has signed and sent to Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha and the Ministry of Interior a special request to extend time the trading hours for nightlife venues along Patong’s Bangla Rd to 4am.
