Happy Holidays!

On behalf of all the staff at Sunbelt Asia, I would just like to wish everybody at Thaivisa.com a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It has been a very eventful 2006 for all of us in Thailand, what with the incredible 60th Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadaj, the world’s longest reigning monarch, and the ousting of Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. I don’t think I will ever forget some of the sights the last 12 months have provided; the most abiding memories will be of the streets of Bangkok being a sea of yellow shirts in honour of His Majesty the King every Monday, and garlanded tanks on the streets, with locals and tourists posing for photographs in front of them. Thailand is certainly never dull; it remains one of the best countries in the world to live and work, and we eagerly anticipate events yet to unfold in 2007.

With that I will bid you farewell until next month, as I will be leaving to return to the USA for the holidays. I wish all of you the very best for the festive season, and would just like to let you know that I will be back on January 10th, when I hope I can be of assistance once more on the forum.
