Thanks for that, never knew. Don't drink soya milk but eat soya bean products regularly. I'll have a chat with the wife.

Don't drink it

Phytoestrogens in Soy. Soyis extremely high in phytoestrogens, which are plant compounds that look like estrogen to the body.

Turn your little boys into "something else"!!!!!!

Just take a look at the sugar content and you will not want it if you value your health.

and why would you want a low fat diet?

the mistaken idea that low fat food is good for health has been the major cause of obesity in western countries and extreme rise in type 2 diabetics since the 1970’s

NHS advises not to give boys soya! For a very good reason! :-)

My wife buys 5 different soy beans from Makro and makes her own using a blender ,muslin and warming process.

Tastes pretty good to us.At 75 I stopped worrying about misinformation on what's healthy and what's not a decade ago

For sure when you have never tried any other one!

I have a farm and i grow soy  beans,  and you can not get milk from a soy bean. Try milking a soy bean. Not posible. They do not have teets. .

Hey SwissmaninThailand, what bra size are you currently using?

Better check, may be you grow Gen modified soy beans.

Almond milk is an alternative: much lower carb/sugar in unsweetened form. Good to drink and substitutes well in many cooked dishes.

I buy mine ever few days at my local market

absolutely wonderful!!!

Wow, only 5 beans. Five beans wouldn't produce much. If your name was Jack you could exchange for a cow.

Go to Japan and try it.

They refuse to import American frankentofu.

They are pros at producing tofu of various textures and quality.
They even have one that is wrapped in silk.

After that, head to Hong Kong and try Daojergn. (sp?)
Usually served hot.

i buy fresh soy milk everyday. 3 bags of it actually. i love it. hot, fresh.

as for   phytoestrogens  i call it a BS.

how many  litres of soy milk you have to drink to feel anything?????

If you can't feel anything you have probably drunk too much :sleepy: :stoner:

Milk is only available from lactating mammals. Not nuts & beans.

If you dig deeper, many of the 10 Reason articles myths have been debunk or exaggerated.  There are lobby groups that spread these "viral" articles to promote their own causes - groups lobbying for milk and beef industries.

Soy milk sold on the streets in Thailand are often sweet as well, so its not really that much healthier compare to store bought ones that are available without sugar.

I purchase my soy milk from the same street vendor twice a

week   He knows me, I get four "bags". 5B each, one with the

usual amount of sugar, three with no sugar, I mix them when I

get home....less sugar so good.

You're missing the point. MILK is only available from lactating mammals.

You might have soy something, but it's NOT milk.

I'm not missing the point; you're just rigid with regards to

the word 'milk'.  Soy, Almond Milk is used universally...

I have an 11:00 AM Tee time... enough!!

Cartoned  soy milk Lactosoy Blue also contains cows milk and double the sugar of Lactosoy Red ( no cows milk / less sugar ).

From my own experience 2 cartons of soy milk a day affect the joints of my fingers, three cartons my finger joints are painful.

Yes, fresh soy milk may be better but there are still risks of quality and adulteration.

As for taste, I first drank it here in early 1971, if I remember it was in a smallish triangular shaped carton, the milk was grainy but the taste was fantastic.

I have tried making yogurt from soy milk but no success.

I drink a little every day as I am a vegan, and I do occasionally eat tofu.

I just ask for no sugar or little sugar. I didn't know Soja was cancerogen. At the end, better to kill ourself before life kill us. If we listen all the warnings, I think it s better to go live in a cave to avoid cell phone radiation.

I use some soy milk because I can't deal with cow's milk, but if you spend some time looking you can find low sugar or no sugar added soy milk. I agree most of what is available is sweetened. I don't use enough to worry about the sugar content, but I just don't like it sweet. Same applies to tea, coffee or whatever ... I just don't care for them with sugar.

There's not much available for consumption that you can't find health warnings about on the Internet. Reading all the warnings is probably injurious to your health brought on by the stress the warnings can cause you.

After reading all your comments, I announce you I will decrease my Soja consumption. I started to have a pain in the right side of my intestines since I drink soja a lot . I always had pain here when I eat fat food. I will keep my Soja consumption at 1 or 2 cups a week from today. Wish me luck.

Probably gas, something else over indulgence in soy milk can produce.
