Yingluck’s Bt100 m civil case against Prayut postponed

By The Nation

The Civil Court has postponed hearing witnesses in a case filed by ex-prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra against Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and six other government officials seeking Bt100 million in damages.

Yingluck’s lawyer Noppadon Laothong said Monday that the postponement came after the defence  failed to submit testimony to the court.

He said the court had scheduled May 8 for further hearings.

This will go well, especially as she is using he brother's oh so successful lawyer. (Who remembers him as a cabinet minister)

Are you referring to "her brother's oh so successful lawyer, Noppadon Pattama ? ( He is a former Foreign Minister and legal adviser to Thaksin Shinawatra, )

The Noppadon in this particular case is Noppadon Laothong

" Yingluck’s civil lawsuit responded to an executive order issued by the Finance Ministry seeking Bt35 billion in damages from the former prime minister, an estimated 20 per cent of the losses from her government’s corruption-plagued rice-pledging scheme. "

So both sides want money from the other and neither case will reach resolution for years to come, due to the inept court system.

You would like to think that someone would be trying to chart the future for the country, rather than squabbling over who managed to slide a bigger slice of the illicit pie onto their plate.

I don't think anyone outside the brainwashed masses trusts any of them, and their antics just add to the comedy.

Prayuth has that little number 44 thing and can order the courts to dismiss it and lets not forget he gave himself a full amnesty.  It was over before it started.  Prayuth is untouchable

Adolph and his cohorts probably thought they were untouchable for a while.

Don't tell me, she is suing for damage to her reputation. Joke of the year - I am respected because I was PM of Thailand

Perhaps her reputation , not to mention wealth, would be greater if she had granted herself immunity from prosecution or criticism !

Shame on her for attempting to do that! The junta actually doing it is of course perfectly OK.
