Several provinces experience water shortages

PHICHIT, 22 February 2017 (NNT) - Several provinces are running short on water as the country is easing into summer.

In Phichit, water levels in natural waterways are decreasing rapidly, crippling the local irrigation system and forcing people in Sak Lek district to purchase water from the municipal area.

In Bueng Kan, soldiers from the Engineer Department of the Royal Thai Army are dredging canals to improve the storage capacity so that people in Nadee sub-district have enough water during the dry season.

In Chiang Mai, 700 local authorities from 25 districts gathered in the municipality in a campaign aimed at preventing wildfires. To lower the risk of possible fires during the dry season, Chiang Mai residents have been asked to refrain from burning activities until April 20th.

Meanwhile, the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation will launch its cloud seeding operation on March 2nd in areas surrounding Bhumibol and Lamtakhlong Dams. The two reservoirs supply water to nearby farming areas.

I thought the mighty General had the water supply sorted.

All dams and reservoir are back to normal levels was the news a few months ago , which nobody believed anyway.

You have got to be kidding refrain no desist stop cease or else something stiffer than refrain.

I have read somewhere that there is a monk in Thailand who can walk on water, perhaps he can help make some to ease the drought.

I think the government should talk to him.

An idea for the Chosen One

Spend some of your money on creating water storage and stop trying to buy subs and aircraft you will never have the balls to use in a war

Now that is helping your people and the country you love so much

I can only guess that if the dams were actually showing full recently they must all be seriously silted in from years of neglect.

Fire up those planes, start to seed clouds, make it rain!
Problem solved!

No sorry, you must be mistaken. He has footpaths, bicycle tracks, lewd dancing at motor shows and corruption under control (19 years 5 months to go). Rain is controlled by Phra  Dhammachayo so Prayuth  would be advised to be nice to the man.

Difficult to walk on water when there isn't any.

Even Jesus would have had a problem with that one.

I think you mean the floating nun somewhere around Kanchanaburi.

Flatulence was clearly not something she practiced.

Naw will hang in there have for 7 years now. Ah yes your funnin me the 19th was this past Sunday. I hate travelling. Going south hmm could be OK I see they signed something with the bombers there. Could be a fragile treaty at best. Heard to many spooky Phuket and Pattaya stories. Be it ever so humble there is no place like home. I am in my element.
