Soldiers were deployed Tuesday night to contain Dhammakaya supporters who’re gathering close to where officers are stationed on Khlong Luang Road in Pathum Thani.

PATHUM THANI — The Department of Special Investigation, or DSI, on Wednesday opened a new round of negotiations with Dhammakaya for permission to search its headquarters for its fugitive spiritual leader.

The DSI had earlier instructed monks and temple followers who have been blocking entrances to Wat Dhammakaya to clear the way by 10am, an order ignored by the faithful.

Another deadline collapses  :cheesy: what did the silly buggers expect?

Everybody come out now please please pretty please  :cheesy:

From the very start of this fiasco the authorities have been blocked, made fools of by a handful of monks.

That's why they all wear medals!

Negotiations!!!!!

Worrying photo's being tweeted this afternoon.
Soldiers laying down barbed wire and police in riot gear line up next to a tear gas and water cannon crowd control vehicle.

***Breaking News***

Negotiations fell thru. DSI ordering all women, children, elderly and ill to leave the temple. Plans to cut power and cell service.

The final siege has begun. Several news sources confirm this.

They need a good crisis negotiator as things are getting on the silly side. His opening offer will be to keep all his ill gotten gain and that the BIB retreat and he gets a 99 year crime free lease on all his properties.

"Round up the usual suspects. We'll come back for this lot after the rainy season"

Elections delayed until 2019 as all troops will be still busy surrounding the temple trying to arrest the monk.

Unfortunately, the monk is watching the circus live from overseas.

That's to stop the media from photographing the army and police putting on their Clowns make-up  ready for the next fiasco.

reminiscent of those "life firing zones"

Time for a little light entertainment. All this doom and gloom is getting me down.

Here's the latest tweet:-

What are you gong to do now PM Prayuth now that you famous Article 44 doesn't work the way you would like it to. Do you have more Articles in your bottom drawer?

Thai military! Show them a real enemy and they would run a mile. Refer to the history books.

Looks very similar to the red shirt invasion of 2010. The government then run by Abhisit did nothing. Let them even take guns off soldiers until the army was forced to take control.

Same, same here, we're waiting both sides for that spark to ignite. It could be tonight or in 2 months time. The Buddhist can keep this game up for a long time. Longer than any other. Those married to a Thai know. You can spend an entire week in the dog house sometimes over a silly quarrel but back in Blighty it's all over and made up in hours. Same goes with this palarva.
