Good hotel in HK mainland or island

Featured Replies

Hi as the topic suggests recommendations for a decent (not mega expensive) hotel in Hong Kong. Been a few times but never really liked the ones we chose. Thanks

If you are a bit more specific I am sure I can recommend a few.

WHAT is "mega expensive" for you and what is your budget ? On which day(s) of the week (very important!) do you want to stay there - the same hotel that charges 800 HKD on a Sunday or Monday night may easily charge 2.500 HKD on a weekend night or even double that if there is a major event (Rugby 7's or a major fair, f.e.)

What are you planning to do in HKG and are you familiar with the (great) public transport system there ?

Where did you stay in the past and why did you not like the hotels back then ?
