Farang Taxi

Featured Replies

There seems to be a lot of posts concerning taxis between Pattaya and the Airport. I have been informed that there are a couple of farangs providing a service. Has anyone any details?

If you mean actually driving the cars/vans, I'd be very careful. These farangs would be working illegally, most likely drunks, and for sure held in very low regard by the Thai people. It could be simple confusion about who is making the arrangements for Thai cars and Thai drivers.

Sounds a bit like someone,

maybe trying to smoke,

someone or some people out here.

all very smelly I think.

Maybe the name of the company means they are aiming for the " Farang" market

especially Germans as the Ad' is in their language.......the drivers appear to be Thai

The drivers will have to be Thai
foreigners are not allowed to drive "vehicles for hire"

Looks like Thai driver in the ad.  Just using Farang in the name of the company to draw customers.   Cold be owned by a foreigner too.  No big deal.

I think there are a few Russians driving private car's doing airport taxi jobs etc mostly to other Russians, I went to look at a used Honda city for a friend being sold by a Russian once, it was cheap but in bad shape, he basically told me he and his friends were doing this, suffice to say, i did not recomend my friend bought the car.
