Timothys Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Hi Everyone, Can I ask has anyone stayed at Talay Samran in Cha am. Some friends of mine have stayed there and said it is really fantastic. Its a new resort on a quiet beach with private swimming pools and luxury villas and apartments to rent. It sounds great and the pictures look really good. I just wondered if anyone can tell me any more about it? Thanks Timothys PS If anyone else wants a look the website is www.talaysamran.com

It's always useful to get other people's opinions, especially as it's a new resort.
Timothys Posted December 15, 2006 Author Posted December 15, 2006 I have to say you are very cynical! It's just good to find out if anyone else has stayed there and can give me some information, especially as it's a new resort. When you are looking to book somewhere on the other side of the world, the more information you can get the better.
chutai Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Haven't stayed there or know much about it as is it's new, but I know exactly where it is as I used to have a house on the way there. But I know that they were building quite a few condo blocks over there so that must be part of that development. It's a very quiet end of Cha-Am beach near the existing condos anyway. A less populated area and a good forty-five minutes or so walk from the town and restaurants, so you'd probably need to hire a motorcycle or something. Doing that anyway is a good idea so you can have a look around the surrounding areas and countryside. It's also not that far from the harbour and a few decent fish restaurants that caters for mostly Thais so don't speak English. Unless they now have menus in English? That end is also very popular with more well off Bangkokians who use their condos at weekends although you rarely see them, or anyone in fact, on that usually deserted part of the beach. Myself, I really that that end of Cha-Am as it used to be pretty much off the holidaymakers map. As I've said I don't know Baan Talay but it looks good and I've yet to meet anyone who visits Cha-Am for a holiday that dislikes it. There's nothing to dislike about the place. I'm sure that you'll have an enjoyable stay.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
