poor kitty

Hi, we got our female cat neutered last week and she has understandably been a bit out of sorts since.

However, im getting a little worried as she hasnt eaten for 3 days now and only takes a little water from time to time.

How long does it usually take for a cat to start eating again after an operation?

Any help would be appreciated, I hate seeing her so miserable, soppy so and so that Iam.

MANY years since I've had a cat, but I'd get her back to the vet immediately as I can't recall it ever taking anything like 3 days before they started eating again.

Thanks mate. Taking her today. She's lost a fair bit of weight.

Absolutely not normal, rush her to the vet. May have an infection.

Any news? Hope all goes well.

The vet gave us some nutri gel. Said she wasnt infected but she needs to ingest food for the anti biotics she needs after the op.

Anyway, I had to force feed her the gel which she  hated but then she started on her normal food.

This morning she was a bit more like her old self.

We are delighted.
