Whilst I appreciate that the ride is more comfortable in a car rather than a pick-up, I've found that I have less back ache (if any) from a 5 hour drive in a pick-up than I had when driving a car in the UK.

If a pickup truck hits a car, the damage appears to be reverse, with pickup truck appearing to be intact and the car displaying all its crumble zones in action. It's a general knowledge, and in the past I even quoted a GM manager on this. In a two vehicles crash the higher and heavier SUVs and trucks are safer.

I think I understand some people getting a big truck - If I crash into you, I'll be OK. What a shitty attitude - if everyone had this sttitude we'd all be driving around in 10-ton trucks. Pick-up drivers aren't much better than the bus drivers.

One of the members of a Thai resque team, those that help injured in car accidents, said in an interview that after a crash they can ply open a car practically with bare hands whereas pickups require tools.

He also said that at speeds no vehicle is safe.

Here's a picture of a Ford dispaying its crumble zones

That's a car that they stopped making about 10 years ago. I posted a pic of a Jazz because it is a common car here.

might seem selfish "As long as im ok in the case of a crash"....but....isn't that everyones thoughts? Would you REALLY be willing to risk YOUR life for some strangers?? I don't want to hurt anyone, but, if its you or me/my family...sorry, its you!
