BANGKOK, 10 March 2017 (NNT) – Bangkok administrators have set out preparing the city to weather summer storms by fixing flood-prone areas and assuring citizens that they will not suffer through inundation.

Bangkok Governor Pol Gen Assawin Kwanmuang has held a meeting to prepare officials for summer storms forecast to hit the capital. The meeting was joined by water expert Royol Jitradon who provided insight on coping with severe storms. He urged the city to deal with trees that may be toppled by high winds as well as to inspect billboards.

Royol noted Bangkok may face storms sooner this year than before with rains predicted as soon as late May. He called for work to be done in 21 flood-prone areas, which include in front of the Ratchada Criminal Court, Laksi roundabout and Pongpetch market. The work is to improve drainage in the areas to ensure no flooding takes place.

Officials are also to inspect Khlong Samsen’s drainage system, which is key to keeping Ratchada-Rama 9 dry.

Yeeeehaa!! Bring it on! We have much wind last weeks but no rain at all.

And those advertisings should be banned from the roads, start flying around onto the roads every year. Vely dangerous! Especially those cheap ones made from cheap wood.
