DSI Declares End to Dhammakaya Search

PATHUM THANI — The Department of Special Investigation now believes the fugitive leader of Wat Dhammakaya has fled his temple and will soon lift its blockade, a spokesman for the said Saturday.

(Reuters) - A federal judge in Wisconsin dealt the first legal blow to President Donald Trump's revised travel ban on Friday, barring enforcement of the policy to deny U.S. entry to the wife and child of a Syrian refugee already granted asylum in the United States.

ROTTERDAM/VIENNA (Reuters) - Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will not be allowed to campaign for votes among expat Turks during a visit to Rotterdam on Saturday, the mayor of the Dutch port said, joining a growing list of European cities that have blocked such rallies.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House said on Friday that President Donald Trump did not know until this week that his former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, had been working as a representative for Turkey, although the issue was raised with the Trump team before the Republican took office.

BEIRUT/MOSUL, Iraq (Reuters) - U.S.-backed Syrian militias said on Friday they were strong enough to seize Raqqa from Islamic State with support from the U.S.-led coalition, underlining their opposition to any Turkish role in the planned attack.

Cha-Am Police Station superintendent Colonel Pakin Sivamethakul was transferred to an inactive post with effect from Friday but national police chief Pol General Chakthip Chaijinda said it had nothing to do with the fatal attack last month in a dormitory in Phetchaburi province that left one student dead and two others wounded.

DSI to form special task force to hunt Phra Dhammachayo

As defiant monks and followers of Phra Dhammachayo have started to back off after weeks of standoff, and some have withdrawn from Dhammakaya temple, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) will continue to locate the fugitive monk until he is brought to trial.

Burma’s nationalist monk banned from delivering sermons
