The Cabinet agreed to exempt fees for those using the Bangkok-Ban Chang (Route 7) and Kanjanapisek Road: Bang PainBang Phli (Route 9) from midnight of April 11 until April 18, said Deputy government spokesman Colonel Athisit Chaiyanuwat.

The decision was made during weekly Cabinet meeting on Tuesday to celebrate Songkran Festival that falls on April 13.

Excellent move, encourage more people to drive during the dangerous days.

Note. It is only dangerous to drive on Thai roads during governmental identified "dangerous days", New Year/Songkran.

Outside these dates it is perfectly safe on the highways and byways of Thailand.
