What to make out of these readings?

@sappersrest just fired up the chlorinator (10 hours after adding salt).

 

Dosing pump kicked-in.

 

Will leave it overnight and set up the acid dosing tomorrow.

 

Slowly does it.

Once you get into it looking after your pool  it can be very rewarding.

Ps how are the reed beds doing its a part of water treatment that really fascinates me but never got to grips with.

So after arguing a lot with our JPM but with some help from some smart co-owners I got the green light to at least do a minimum of swimming pool cleaning. We completely emptied the swimming pool, scrubbed the joints and got a lot of sediment out of the overflow tank.

Unfortunately I could not arrange for an acid cleaning let alone re-grouting the joints.

We installed some kind of nets on the outlets, the pipes leading from the Overflow canal into the overflow tank.

 

Anyway we have quite a lot of dirt coming out of the vents after the water went through the filter. There is something wrong, right?

 

It looks like the diatomaceous earth is finding its way into the pool. That shouldn't be, right?

bypassed the filter but it's harmless when not inhaled in powder form.

it's only wrong if the dirt is not filtered out after a few days.
