Calling Usa Collect From Thailand

Featured Replies

Im trying to call my bank in USA. They list a phone number and say to call it collect if you are overseas. How can I place a collect call to this number from my home phone?

001-999-11111 gets you the AT&T operator. Be sure to get a human being as often the automated version will hang up if customer service doesn't answer the phone right away.

Back when i had a land line i either dialed 0 or 100 for an operator, got my self to an English speaking one, then said i wanted to make a collect call to the US gave the overseas collect call # of the back of the Bank/ATM/Credit card and was connected no problem.

If you're Thai is good enough you might be able to do it with out an English speaking operator...

hmmm well accept for that part where he/she asks their Us counter part to accept the charges...

I also remember this worked severla times when I had a purchase dispute and then when i tried again some time later (like a year later)

apparently operator assistance was an extra that my Thai land lord failed to pay up.

The Int'l ATT&T operator sound like a good safe bet

001-999-12001

001-999-13877 also work

and for the UK:

001-999-44-1066
