I don't have a kitchen in my Bangkok studio but do cook on my balcony using a gas ring atop a gas bottle and an electric single induction hotplate as a supplemental cooker.  The gas ring is hard to control: way too hot when the bottle if full, not hot enough when more than half empty and not particularly stable.  I haven't tipped it over yet,  but......

I have no room for a real stove-top but am considering buying a 2 burner, gas cook-top, the style seen in every Tesco, Big-C, Home-Pro, ect.  They sell from as little as B1000 up to B5000 not including those with built on stands.

I'm just seeking input from anybody who has bought and used one of these: one's that were especially good or those to avoid. Important to me is that at least one burner be a very hot-burning one; one that can get a cast iron skillet up to good searing temperatures. Gas controls able to set an even flame from a low simmer to a boil and well made, stable burner tops are also desirable.
