Slide for an above-ground pool

Featured Replies

OK, we have a 5m x 1.1m deep above-ground pool, best couple of grand I've spent for some years.

Grandkids love it. Mind you, they do seem to think granddad is a better ride-on than the inflatables, something to do with the glug-glug noises he makes when two eight year olds try to ride him

We're currently building a pool deck to cover 90o of the circumference, easier exit and entry, somewhere for the lifeguard (grown up who hasn't been drinking) to sit under a brolly and watch the action.

I have no doubt that the kids would love a slide, not a massive flume just a 1.5 m curved slide that ejects them 6" or so above the water.

So every slide I look at says "not for above-ground pools", but none state a minimum water depth or distance to the far bank.

Any thoughts?

Plenty of YouTubers have put slides on their pools, some I wouldn't send my dog down (I love my dog) let alone the kids. I was thinking of something like this https://thailandpoolshop.com/shop/water-toys/swimming-pool-slide-right-hand/

Thanks SR, that has some useful information.

I don't suppose that baby slide is available in Thailand? It would be more suited for our application than the bigger one I showed.
