Jonathan Fairfield Posted March 27, 2017 Share Posted March 27, 2017 Kicking off with the pros FC Bayern Munich – the most successful club in German football history having won a record 25 national titles and 17 national cups – is bringing its football curriculum, “FC Bayern 12 Level Kurs”, to Thai schools. The football curriculum is a 12-stage coaching programme, which will be taught in sports classes at more 3,000 schools throughout the country to more than 500,000 children and teenagers. The content of the coaching will be tailored to the relevant age groups of the Thai education system in order to guarantee optimal implementation and support a successful education for Thailand’s next footballing generation. “We’re pleased to be able to contribute to the development of youth football in Thailand and are pursuing this endeavour with great motivation,” said the club’s Jorg Wacker during the launch at Atrium Hall of Show DC Shopping Mall on Rama IX Road. “I’m very glad that Thai kids will have a chance to develop their skills in football through the FC Bayern 12 Level Kurs curriculum,” added Sebastian Dremmler, the international programme’s head coach. Dremmler led a training session with selected children as part of the press conference to give the 120 media outlets present a first impression. Mascot Berni was also on hand. The agreement was signed by n Sport Thai-Bavaria’s managing director Vinij Lertratanachai and FC Bayern Munich’s Wacker, with Prasert Boonruang, the secretary-general of the Office of the Non-Formal and Informal Education, Suttipong Juljarern, the deputy permanent secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, and Dr Prakit Hongsasaenyatham, vice president for research and quality assurance of Institute of Physical Education looking on. The signing ceremony was witnessed by celebrities and football fans including Nawat “Pong” Kulrattanarak, Prachakorn “Sun” Piyaskulkaew, Ithisak “Om” Wuthitanawat, Nitinan “Zhampo” Jantaradecha, Kanya “Tal” Rattanapetch, Pokchat “Gyp” Thiamchai, Thunyagun “Yok” Thanakittananon, Kitkong “Boom” Khamkrith, Tarakhet Petchsuksai, Chatchadaporn “Tai” Tananta, Jira “Fluke” Danbowornkiat and Tonont Wongboon.
