Phuket taxi driver returns British tourists' purse

PHUKET:-- Two British tourists rejoiced last night after a taxi driver reunited them with their lost purse containing 70,000 baht.

“Danny Kevin Chay Mackney and April Claire Cush called on the Tourist Police helpline (1155) yesterday afternoon, after they realized that they had forgotten their purse in the taxi they had taken from the Merlin Hotel to the Phuket Town Bus Terminal,” said Phuket Tourist Police Chief Naruewat Puthawiro.

The purse also contained ATM and ID cards, in addition to miscellaneous belongings.

Well done, same rubbish story as we had a long time ago;

 

 

If I ever leave Thailand, the one thing I will not miss is these sickening photo dioramas of a taxi driver giving back someone's belongings left in his cab. They always have the ubiquitous 5 or so senior coppers crowding in to shot.

 

Would this unfold in the same way anywhere else on the planet?
