Animal Protection in Thailand

Featured Replies

Does any member know an association that would intervene in cruelty to cats, in perticular. In the Bangkok area.

The issue is two things A person that lives at the back of our house has got six cats in four cages. They can hardly turn around and are outside in the heat and sun . Also for the last week they have been whining all day and night.

Spoke to to the wife but as usual . Up to them nobody else but me is complaining. Final straw tonight. Told get to have a polite word with them or I will go let them out myself regardless of what they do or say.

Others may know of better but this could be a starting point if no one else knows.

NCPO Thai government. 24 hour Call Center 1111 http://www.1111.go.th/

They deal with any and all complaints related to anything and everything.

it does hurt me when i SEE the way some animals are treated, but you have to bite your tonque and keep your mouth shut.

UNLESS ITS ONE OF YOUR OWN.

Sadly, I think you're right as its more than likely that people of that mentality will take out complaints on their 'pet' .

But if you know a respected Thai in the area that likes animals/pets - it may be worthwhile talking to him/her in the hope that they can have a chat with the neighbour without causing a backlash?

Hi thanks for all the positive comments . I have been to see the local Councilor I think that's what you call him. He is going to go and have a look. The poor things are being kept in parrot cages with steel wire floors. If nothing is done before to night I am letting them out regardless.
