Philippines plans to increase rice import to 1.3 million tons

 

BANGKOK, 10 April 2017, (NNT) - According to the Thai Commerce Ministry, the Philippines is planning to increase its rice imports by 130 million tons this year, as part of its food security program, which provides opportunities to Thai exporters.

PHUKET: -- Police have yet to press any charges for a deadly motorbike collision involving a 17-year-old on Saturday (April 8) that killed a 70-year-old man who was heading towards Phuket’s welfare home for the elderly in Pa Khlok.

Four hikers die in Canada after avalanche hits popular trail

TORONTO (Reuters) - Canadian police have recovered the bodies of four hikers who went missing on Saturday when an avalanche hit a popular trail north of Vancouver and were still searching for one missing person, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said in a statement on Sunday.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Fox News parent Twenty-First Century Fox Inc said on Sunday it will investigate a sexual harassment claim against TV anchor Bill O'Reilly, who has seen several companies pull their ads from his top-rated news show in the past week.
