Trevor1809
Can I clarify that a Grade 5 Entry Level Certificate in ESOL International (Speaking and listening) (Entry 3)* CEFR Level B1.1 is the correct certificate for a UK ILR visa application. 7by7
Check that the test and the test provider are on the UKVI Approved secure English language tests and test centres list.
Trevor1809
The test centre was Trinity at Holborn.
7by7
OK, I'll check the list for you. Trinity College is an approved provider, and their Holborn (88 Kingsway WC2B 6AA) test centre is an approved test centre. Their approved tests are Integrated Skills in English Graded Examination in Spoken English. For LTR applications, most people take GESE (Grade 5 for ILR as this is equivalent to B1) as ISE requires reading and writing as well. If still unsure whether or not the test you are asking about meets the requirement, I suggest that you contact Trinity College.
Mattd
This from Trinity's website, no expert, but looks like she would be OK? B1 SELT – GESE Grade 5 You must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level B1 in Speaking and Listening for: Indefinite Leave to Remain (to settle) or British Citizenship Trinity’s GESE Grade 5 exam = CEFR B1.
