Passed this one on "King Gell " Road lots of time and although it appeared a bit seedy it seems to have improved recently prob.because it the nearest to the new airport (apart from NovaT) and def could be worth a try... few shops a kara-okes nearby.... also..... always wondered about this one with the big crucifix on the outside ... Is it some sort of Bible bashers hangout or mabe the owners just like crosses?.. AVANA Bangkok Hotel 3 Star Hotel with Budget Room Rate Anyone stayed at either? billp Posted December 22, 2006 Share Posted December 22, 2006 Sananwan Palace. Small family-owned place with pool & A/C for under 500 Baht, just south of the airport. Taxi drivers can't find it but if you ask ahead, they'll pick you up at the airport (for a fee). Everybody staying there says it's really nice.
