Parks are very appreciated and everybody enjoys it from young to old.The ratio bars parks in Pattaya are out of balance?

?????

Parks, in Pattaya?

The only one is the one on the hill, and who wants to walk up there in the heat?

The lookout might qualify as a small park, but they allowed a huge building in front of that and ruined it.

The beach promenade used to be as good as a park,  but they destroyed that.

The promenade to the lighthouse used to be nice but they destroyed that.

Larn used to have nice beaches for the cost of a ferry ticket,  but they destroyed them.

Can't think of any other parks in Pattaya.

IMO parks are not a Thai "thing". No parks in Lamphun, where I used to live, though they did have an attempt at a walkway along part of the river.

Pattaya was thriving when WS was a dirt track with a beach, it was the greed of the corruptible that allowed the corrupter's to mussel in on an already thriving flesh trade.

Should that be "...mussel in on a thriving flesh fish trade."  :cheesy:

Take it easy, just that I could perceive a small moment of humour here.

A tree-lined park is about to be built in front of the huge building all the way to the light house once the state-of-the-art marina is completed within a few months.

Then an underground bus parking and a bus station with a shopping area and restaurants will alleviate 90% of the horde of  Chinese zero-baht-tourists above ground which will be connected to Sukhumwit via tunnel.

Then mafia boat drivers will be required to wear blue&white striped marine outfits just like gondola oarsmen in Venice.

Then an agreement will be reached and the huge building will be completed with 20 floors less than originally planned and the eyesore will be eliminated for good.

All Thais will speak perfect English and start to smile again.

Then I woke up......

So back to the bars then☀️

Wow  how many years did that take ?

The demolition itself took about just one year, not bad,

but the long legal and administrative process before that took 3-4 years I think.

The owner made everything that could possibly delay or stop the process...

Pity Fred was not still around...

He would have had it down in a few hours:whistling:

Another blow for the mighty TVF Tea Money Chorus who'd of course immediately chanted and sneered it'd never be torn down. One member bet his left nut . . . yet castration is so ill-advised for any cesspoolian.
