Hi, just noticed that the 90 day date is 26/4 so with the extra 7 day period (including 26/4?) i am 1 day late.

How much will they fine me? Jomtiem, Pattaya.

TIA.

Sin this TIT you never know that there could be a chance that they may flip it back to 8 days since you also went over your 7 day grace period meaning they may fine you 8 days

Just saying

Buy a calendar ,mark important dates, place  it where you can see it

every morning, it will pay for itself, and dont forget to fill in new 90 day

as soon as you return home.job done.

There is no daily fine. It is 2000 baht if late. It does not matter how many days it is.

You can go in up to 6 weeks early.  Easy to do and avoids problems with overstay.

?

The thread is about the 90 day report for which 15 days before is accepted (15 day count included nominal date, so two weeks before).

The fine will be 2000 baht for a late report.

not always. If you present yourself nicely and talk pleasantly and explain that you forgot they maybe will overlook it and not fine you. that's what happened to me a couple of times

Put it in the reminder in your phone it alerts you when its due. I put mine 2-3 days prior to the report date works a treat and saves so much hassle.

Also put in Thailand's public holidays to be reminded of them .

So once you're one day late after the 7 day grace period you might as well just forget about it until you need to go to immigration again ?

You're already going to pay the 2000 Baht due to one day so what's the motivation to go and pay it immediately rather than in say  6 months time when a visa needs extending ?

Info is here on the immigration website. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=90days

It is 15 days before the report date or 7 days after including the report date in the count.

The standard fine is 2000 baht. The max fine is 5000 baht according to the immigration act.

And what if I do not report during 1 year until the next visa ? I have no intention to meet these troublesome people more than once a year and I don't mind paying.

2000 baht fine x 4 = only 8000/year ? Still cheaper than Elite !

You may not want to consider this route but I pay an agent 1,000 baht per year to do my 90 day reports. For that price I get reminders by email well in advance and repeated every few days until I take my passport to their office, last resort is a phone call from them - I pick it up again a couple of days later. Sure there are cheaper ways to do the 90 report but this one suits me, as I get older I forget things more easily and I make more mistakes regarding simple admin., it works for  me.

If you are worried about the small amount of the fine then you must be a bxm on short rations.
