Syria fighting eases as Russian deal takes effect

BEIRUT (Reuters) - Fighting between Syrian rebel and government forces eased on Saturday as a Russian-led effort to shore up a ceasefire took effect, although battles continued on important frontlines near Hama and Damascus, rebels and a war monitor said.

YOKOHAMA, Japan (Reuters) - Japan and China agreed to bolster economic and financial cooperation, Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso said on Saturday, as U.S. President Donald Trump's protectionist stance and tension over North Korea weigh on Asia's growth outlook.

(Reuters) - Always Dreaming won the 143rd Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs over a sloppy track in Louisville on Saturday, giving jockey John Velazquez and trainer Todd Pletcher their second career wins in the 'Run for the Roses'.

MILAN (Reuters) - Pope Francis on Saturday criticised the naming of the U.S. military's biggest non-nuclear explosive as "the Mother of All Bombs", saying the word "mother" should not be used in reference to a deadly weapon.

Over 100 Thais detained in Bahrain for overstaying visa

FDA warns against adding mucuna ingredient to foods, supplements

Mucuna, a tropical legume, cannot be added to foods or supplementary foods, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned in reaction to claims by some products that the presence of mucuna can cure diseases.
