I'm helping my school with a new teachers visa and he has a 60 day tourist we want to convert to Non B. I am under the impression he can do this in an immigration office in Thailand. This is what i think i need or need to do. Can someone clarify this?

Apply for a work permit first –  Have at least 21-30 days left on your tourist visa before applying for Non B

Passport or travel document with validity of not less than 6 months

- Completed visa application form

- Recent passport-sized photograph (4 x 6 cm) of the applicant taken within the past 6 months.

- Letter of acceptance from the school in Thailand.

- Letter of approval from the MOE

- Evidence of educational qualification such as diplomas or teaching certificates.

- School license and director ID

- Applicant’s resume.

- Police clearance certificate.

In the past we have sent teachers to Laos for their Non B but if we can go to the local immigration it would save a lot of time and expense.

Any suggestions and help would be appreciated.
