Boonkanjanaram roadwork set for completion by end of May

Extensive construction on Soi Wat Boonkanjanaram will be complete by the end of May, the contractor hired to upgrade the drainage system there said.

PATTAYA:--Extensive construction on Soi Wat Boonkanjanaram will be complete by the end of May, the contractor hired to upgrade the drainage system there said.

The project next to the Grand Hotel Jomtien was declared 90 percent finished on May 4. The company hired by Pattaya to do the work has laid a 4-sq.-meter box culvert to connect sewers parallel to Jomtien Beach Road to shuttle waste to the waste treatment plan on Soi Wat Boonkanjanaram.

Concrete will now be poured to resurface the street and reopen it to traffic.

Soil was brought in to lay a foundation for the road. Once leveled, quick-drying concrete will be poured and traffic should be running there by month’s end.

I am perplex like you, but after some research this is the satellite view:

And even more astonishing: I passed there often when in Pattaya because a mate lives some 300 to 400 m from there AND it didn't smell!

Is it simply dead? Never started operation?

Report from 2014:
