Hi one and all

I have a few days in HH 1st week of January, visiting friends who are over from the UK.

They have wifes and kids with them, and i am not a fan of sitting around a pool all day. This will be three days away from my Mrs for me, and i plan to make the most of it and make up for a very quiet Christmas by getting drunk, in all honesty.

HH seems to be a bit thin on the beer bar front, am i right? Idealy, I would like to seek out a few tacky, cheesy, classless beer bars while I am there and have a giggle...shoot some pool, few jokes with the girls, drink some shots et al.

If anyone could reccomend a general area where there may be a few of these establishments, i would appreciate it. I am not expecting a small pattaya type area of course(thankfully), and I appreciate HH is quiet, but I would like to find somewhere where i can have a giggle and get drunk.

I live up country and rarley get the chance to let my hair down. I just want to get drunk for a few days before returning to my quiet little town.

Nightlife is in between the Wat HuaHin and Hilton Hotel in the very centre of town.

hua hin has a couple of streets filled with nothing but tacky cheesy classless beer bars with pool tables and girls.

Thank you - my friends are staying at the Hilton so that will be handy. The nearest city/town to me has many bars but they are all very quiet, and I usualy just drink a few beers whilst reading a book. I need a break from sleepy bars for a few days.

I may even consider buying a sleevless Chang shirt and bandana. Go the whole hogg, lol.

One more question if you could help me out - i have made a list of Golf courses as we have a round or two during the day. If any golfers have an opinion on which could be described as the best course, i would appreciate it. Thanks.

to go the whole hog , and in order to fit in well you should not shave for a couple of days before visiting the street , make sure you have some visible urine drip stains on the front of your fake football shorts (polyester) , be a wheezy chain smoker and carry a can of beer (bought at the 7-11 at the top of the street) at all times.
