BANGKOK: -- A saleswoman has gone to Chok Chai police to complain after another woman who rear ended her car swore at her claiming she was the daughter of a public prosecutor.

Namthip Thongdee’s red Mazda was rear ended by another car outside Central Festival in the Ram Intra area on Wednesday morning, reported Thai Rath.

The two parties went to a nearby condo to sort things out.

What should have been a simple matter for insurance turned into a drama when the woman who went into her car started swearing and making accusations saying she was the daughter of a leading prosecutor.

A clip was made of the incident that found its way onto the fan page Mem Pho Dam.

Not willing to let the matter rest Namthip went to Chok Chai police to register a formal complaint.

The police said they plan to fine the driver 400-1000 baht and an additional 1,000 baht for the insults hurled at her.

But so far the driver of the Honda City that collided with her has failed to turn up at the station.

And neither has the relative of the driver.

Can someone clear up exactly who's getting fined here?

'Cause this sure sounds like it's the driver who had the insults hurled at her...  Which wouldn't make any sense, except...

1,000 baht for hurling insults? That's nearly as much as you'd get for running someone down and killing them. Amazing how cheap life is here but how important face and the right to not be offended is.

Of course she didn't show up, she was going to get a fine...

Now, if the police had said that she was going to get rewarded 1,000 baht, then she would have shown up, and the police could claim a misunderstanding as they always do.

Will end up just being more unpaid fines

Too much extra trouble for the police to do anything

I hope the Lady doesn't care a flying fart who the other b*** is and kicks ass.

Where was the insurance company? Hopefully the lady who was hit called hers or maybe both didn't have insurance. Never leave the accident site until your insurance company arrives.

starts with A  ends with E

You can see 26 year-old Thanyakan Sacharoen in the clip come up and kick the parked car several times. Namthip Thongdee, 33, has refused to settle out of court and wants the woman prosecuted.

Later clip of the two parties meeting at the police station.
