Id say it already led to heavy rain.. at least here in BKK.

Oh okay nothing here in Makkasan for rain today. Just a tiny amount. It isn't like the streets flooded or anything in this side of town. Looked at satellite and saw a huge storm. Just looked again looks like it has broken up.

Must have been real local here then (it happens). We had a lot of rain here in the morning and a bit later on the day too. (Bangyai Area)

Sure, the army did assist during the crisis, and yes they helped a lot, but they also used the floods and their role in the crisis as a political tool to attack the democratically elected government (you remember them) while at the same time talking out of the other side of the mouth and 'supporting' YL. Prayuth even said the military had to shoulder equal blame for what happened.

The floods in 2011 were a Godsend for the Thai military as they were widely distrusted after they dispersed the Red Shirt protests and allegedly killed 90 people. The floods gave them the opportunity to show a more humane and compassionate side.

You need to stop banging on about YL or Thaksin on every thread mate, it is making you look obsessed and unstable.

In the same way you always bang on defending them or urging everyone to conveniently forget their, shall we say, little quirks?

Were you here then? Remember the allegation that PTP were thieving aid flown in to the country and selling the goods? Never miss the chance of a quick buck.

We have very heavy storm this morning, lasting few hours. The water in the canals around is already fairly high. (Pathumthani).

Where is Noah when you need him?

The soi I live on in Chatuchak has flooded 5 times in the past week. Each time it rained for about an hour. Bloody hopeless IMHO.

More rain! Is this the year where all the reservoirs get filled back up to their top levels. It certainly is starting to look that

way. Good luck In the flooded areas and keep building your houses with they first floor for storage and a car port, so at

least floods won't wreck any furniture until itget to the second or in Thaiand the first floor. In most cities just do not

build a basement under your house, orit will bete indoor swimming pool after the storm.

Moderate  rain in lower Sukhumvit and Silom from 6.30am- about noon. Just started again now, but lighter, at 11.15pm

I am beginning to think the local weather men don't have doppler radar. They get even the tiniest predictions wrong.

I remember lots of allegations, about all sorts of things. Any requests for for any sort of substance behind them always seems to be lost in the clamour of indignation, and then drowned in a deluge of fresh allegations...

It's the rainy season, all told to brace for rain. You have been warned!
