NLA to discuss Expenditure Budget Act for Fiscal Year 2007 this afternoon

The National Legislative Assembly (NLA) will consider the drafted Expenditure Budget Act for Fiscal Year 2007 this afternoon (Dec 27). The budget is expected to be cut down by 5,589,534,300 billion baht, while other adjustments would also be made.

The NLA meeting will start at 13:30 hours today, and the main meeting agenda will be the consideration of the drafted Expenditure Budget Act for Fiscal Year 2007 and the drafted National Health Act, as the special committee has finished considering them. The establishment of another special committee for solving labor issues for the local people in the deep South who are working in Malaysia will be taken into account as well.

The meeting will also deliberate on the draft of the act to protect the operation of the International Mobile Satellite Organization and the proposal to set up a committee to assess the new public organizations.

The NLA will decide whether a new subcommittee will be formed under the Committee on Independent Body Affairs.
