Pink Mist Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 well all I can say is it looks like a whole lot of pommy moaners at it again You didn't mention soapdodgers Bronco ... your literary skills seem to be regressing ... no need now dave, we have you trained Its a pity you can't train us with other skills like .... batting ... bowling ... fielding Anyway congrats again on the Ashes ... another warm Chang coming your way good reply dave seriously though, I think you have to look at the leadership group, coach and captain in particular.
bradthai Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 coach i think is the most important. someone mentioned losing a football match and then celebrating. <deleted>. celebrating a massive loss? training, practice and putting in the hard yards. something that it seems this pommy team aren't doing. looking at the results. bit like the world cup football. shopping and sight seeing to the fore. hard work you pommy boys. wonder what they, the pommy team, are doing today? bit hard to practice on the ferry to taronga park zoo, or in the revolving restaurant atop centrepoint tower. would be interested to compare the training regime of both camps. fitness and commitment go hand in hand

Sunday afternoon pub football and professional test cricket are a little different methinks .... for us that 15-0 defeat was a good result ... we should have lost by 30 goals .... I'm sure the poms are working just as hard on the training ground as your boys but it's obvious that our guys just can't cut the mustard against your boys in Oz this time. Whether it's the capt, coach or coaching systen could be a combo of all and obviously needs a critical analysis and overhaul in these areas. Right now our boys are severely lacking in confidence and need a leader to get them performing to their potential again. Happy new year !

We might not be able to play cricket, but we cant half enjoy ourselves
Pink Mist Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 as I said it's a leadership issue, it doesn't matter if they are on a boat or dinining up the tower freddie isnt a captain, he has no idea how to place his field. no idea how to apply pressure and no idea how to handle it if applied. vaughan is a much wiser skipper

soi lurker Posted January 5, 2007 Author Posted January 5, 2007 A fitting way to finalize an excellent response to what happened last year. One thing in life is for sure........ Australia rules supreme !!!!!!!
Siam_superfly Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 England>> ... Last Ashes series England won ( really Australia lost it ) by a few runs....not by a 5 - 0 beating...... just like Lampard, they are a joke...
Pink Mist Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 well it's one zip against poms in 1 dayers, and today we take on the south pacific poms, in the last 17 games we beat em 15 times.

kurgen Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 When you boys learn to play a decent game, namely FOOTBALL (AKA soccer, to you in bred, sheep shagging, sister mounting, granny licking, roo bashing convict spawn), then bring it on, we'll see you in the next FOOTBALL WORLD CUP FINALS, shall we ?

In case you were too busy sulking over the English results at the last world cup. Australia mad it further than England. By the way, as your number 1 sport you are not very good at it.
