Argumentative Foreigner in Go-Go Bar

The Dongtan police received a report at fifteen past midnight on 26th December from a foreigner that a fight occurred in “We are No. 1 Ago-go Bar” located on Jomtien Beach – approximately 300 meters away from the Dongtan Sub-station and requested the police to come investigate.

The police arrived at the scene to find the tourist police already there with the Sawang Volunteers aiding Mr. Frans Gunner Jernstrom, aged 64, a British national who was bleeding severely from 5 wounds on his head and also a cut on his hand from a brawl inside the bar.

When the police questioned the man, he couldn’t give any clear statements since he was extremely drunk. Mr. Jernstrom was very argumentative to the police and also refused to go to the hospital but the police had to force him to go. He was taken to Memorial Hospital right after the team managed to get him on the truck.

Later the police questioned the witnesses at the scene to find that Mr. Jernstrom came out from the ago-go bar in a drunken state, being covered with blood from a fight inside the bar.

The police entered the bar to find that the attackers had already left. The police waited for the victim to make a report and press charges about this case for a possible arrest. But when he came out of the hospital, he refused to make a report at the police station and bought a beer to continue getting drunk, saying that he doesn’t want to press charges. This made the police very confused but had to respect his decision. There is nothing the police can do if the victim doesn’t want to make it a case.

The police entered the bar to find that the attackers had already left. The police waited for the victim to make a report and press charges about this case for a possible arrest. But when he came out of the hospital, he refused to make a report at the police station and bought a beer to continue getting drunk, saying that he doesn’t want to press charges. This made the police very confused but had to respect his decision. There is nothing the police can do if the victim doesn’t want to make it a case.

You'd think they would have locked him up for the night due to his obvious drunken state.

As for him being a victim, well, I wonder. Wouldn't be the first time some lout picked a fight and got his arse whooped. Kind of hard to press charges against someone for kicking your ass in a fight you started !

Surprised though, that they didn't have a passle of witness's talking about what had happened.

Mr. Frans Gunner Jernstrom???? not the most British of names i'm afraid, has he only just been granted british citizenship? Saying that he has the mandatory shaved head and no shirt so could well be one of us

It sounds as if the police had their crack unit rearing to go on the case. Too bad Mr. Jerstrom wasn't up for the chase.

This same guy had an altercation in a pub further up the road in Jomtien about 5 days earlier, where he went around a bar and started prodding his finger into peoples chests, faces and generally being aggressive. He finally chose the wrong person and he got flattened with a headbutt. I witnessed it but have only now recognised the guy again from TV. It was a great headbutt though. So, whilst I don't profess to know anything about this latest incident, it would seem that dear Mt Jerstrom has a penchant for alcohol and an altercation or two. Perhaps he should consider Tenerife for next year's holiday.

The power of alcohol ! It can get you into trouble just about anywhere on the face of the earth. It doesn't discriminate, it doesn't care about age, looks, preferences, social class or attitude (though it can change people's attitudes in a hurry) !

There was some muppet about a month or so ago that posted on Thaivisa "I go into bars and intentionally start fights". I can't remember the poster or the thread; wonder if this is the same guy, a Thaivisa member?

Really pathetic behavior; would someone please tell Gunnar he's not 6 years old anymore!
