CAIRO (Reuters) - Islamic State claimed responsibility for Saturday night's attack in London which killed seven people and wounded dozens, the militant group's agency Amaq said on Sunday.

"A detachment of Islamic State fighters executed yesterday's London attack," a statement posted on Amaq's media page, monitored in Cairo, said.

Three attackers rammed a van into pedestrians on London Bridge and stabbed others nearby on Saturday night before police shot them dead.

It was the third militant attack in Britain in less than three months.

Islamic State, losing territory in Syria and Iraq to an offensive backed by a U.S.-led coalition, had sent out a call on messaging service Telegram early on Saturday urging its followers to carry out attacks with trucks, knives and guns against "Crusaders" during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Islamist militants, or people claiming allegiance to the group, have carried out scores of deadly attacks in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the United States over the past two years.

Detached, certainly. A detachment of 'fighters'? BS!

But the ISIS loons do seem determined to claim responsibility for every atrocity viewed as terrorism, irrespective of whether or not they had anything to do with it.

Find the sporters for the ISIL terrorist group, seize their bank accounts and all of their assets, houses, cars,

cottages, etc. If the support for the terror groups are stopped, I believe that these groups would fade away

as well. Countries just have to have the B*lls and some resources to locate and carry out this action.

Geezer

Not so easy...

A lot of finger pointing at Qatar ...and Qatar has a lot of oil ...also rumoured to own more of London than the Queen.

I fear that the ME countries own more of other countries than just the UK.  It is scary of how many things the rich, and upper rich people own all over the world.

It's countries such as Saudi and Qatar that are bankrolling ISIS. how do you deal with that?

Actually, it's got a lot of natural gas. Not oil.

Bombing will begin in 5 minutes, Qatar is a very small country, not too much square mileage.

and if Saudi Arabia is another supporter, then let them know that they are next. Ha  Ha  I know that

this will never happen as neutron bombs have not been invented yet,  Right?
