Chiang Rai is going to be out of control this New Years.

All 3 bars in the area are going to be full and have warned to expect very lengthy delays on using the local transport.

It should be a good one up here! :D

On a serious note.. Its bloody cold and wish I was relaxing down one of the beautiful, warm islands of the south.. :o

Ao Nang Beach in Krabi is just the right mix of mellow and wild for New Years.

If you like clubbing club gecko on Samuis Bophut beach stone cold rocks every new year.. Massive top name DJ's (Gary gecko runs a DJ agency), superb place, great vibe.. Danny Rampling said in a mag interview it was his lifetimes best party on the NYE 2005 into 2006 !!!

I wont make it this year and am kinda wondering why I am such a lazy ass..

Pattaya I would expect!!! :o

The best place to be?.....in the arms of someone you love !!

Perfect Answer Pumpuiman Ill take that advice^^

Thai TV reports that there are huge traffic jams on all roads to places of relaxation! as well as all tickets are sold out.

I'm afraid - can't make it out till after New Year.

although would be interested to see other suggestions.

my wife suggested me to go to some Isaan place with mountains "to see frost on leaves". sounds very romantic for Thais I bet, but I'm not so interested in this sort or holidays retreat. anyone has any experience about that?
