Hello !

I plan on going to Thailand in October to train muay thai.
I’ve made research online about visa and immigration, I’m kind of lost right now. I’d like to stay as long as possible to train as much as possible.
So, if I get a tourist visa (60 days + 30 days extension), I’ll have to prove I booked a room and a leaving ticket. Does it means I can book a flight to Kuala Lumpur as my exit ticket or does it have to be in my own country (France) ?
When I leave the country at the end of my visa, can I just apply for a new tourist visa in Kuala Lumpur straight ahead ?
Is there a better way to stay as long as possible ?

Getting a multiple entry tourist visa (METV) would be better than a single entry visa. It is possible to get almost 9 months of total stay from a METV.

All that is required is a onward ticket to anywhere to apply for the visa. A return ticket is not mandatory.

If you get a single entry visa I would suggest another location to get another one than Kuala Lumpur.

If you were to study Muay Thai at a gym registered as a school at the ministry of education you could get a single entry non-ed visa and 90 day extension of stay at immigration.

Thanks a lot for your answers !
I wanted to get the METV at first but on the French ambassy website it says I have to prove I'm making 5000€ a month for the last 6 month which is not the case...
I didn't know I can apply fo an ED visa for learning muay thai, that's amazing ! So with the extension that's 6 month ! Can I then do a visa run and stay even longer ?

It is 5000 euros in the bank for the previous 6 months not a monthly income of that amount.

You can but the gym must be registered with the MOE. There are not many of those.

You can get a total stay of one year for studing from the date you enter with the non-ed visa by applying for 90 day extensions at immigration.
