Extend non O 1 year for 30 days?

I have a one year non O and instead of doing a visa run 2 weeks before an overseas trip, I was wondering if I can just extend for 30 days at the local immigration.  Visa expires 6 months after needed visa run.

There is no 30 day extension of a 90 day  non immigrant visa entry. Only tourist visa entries can be extended for 30 days.

If married to a Thai or have a Thai child you can apply for a 60 day extension to visit them.
