Hi guys,

I just bought a condo in Pattaya. This trip will be the first one where I am staying in my own condo. Do I need to go to immigration and report my whereabouts? What do I need to do and when do I need to do it? Thank you.

Depends on if you plan to get an extension on your stay at immigration, then you have to fill in form TM30 within 24h.

If you are not planning to have anything to do with immigration, ignore it.

Yes you have to do TM30 report for yourself.

I have done it in Jomtien and all what was needed, filled form and "cleaning receipt with my address on it" but that was year and half ago..

I was armed with bluebook from cityhall and chanote also but was not asked those so i did not show. However i suggest you take these papers also. You never know what they ask or not as for proof

My condo management reported to Jomtien immigrations for everyone maybe 5 to 8 years ago. Since then when I do my annual extension of stay I hand in a signed photocopy of my condo deed and a recent monthly condo services invoice. I've never been asked for anything more than that.

If you are just staying the time allowed frame not required but if you are extending some how then yes you should report to immigration. Thanks

Sorry , not sure about the  advice you are getting - but Jomtien is strict about this - they require you to report within 24hrs. If you are coming here on holiday - and returning to your normal condo  home address- yes to have to report.

Dont queue up at the main reception desk - go to the left - there is a small office - try and see the ( putting it politely larger ) officer - she is very helpful and pleasant.

Better safe than sorry and a fine- I know it's all a bit silly - but there you go.

Have you done the form ( sorry not sure of the number) to notify them of your new address ?

Dear Thai Authorities,

I have reported my address every 90 days to you. You have my phone records available, you have my bank records available, you have my Driver's License, my chanote and other information available. As a retired professor who has lived here on my retirement Visa, I am now informed I am to be fined for not filing a TM30 form showing, once again the address you have on many records. Nice. This is Thailand's idea of how to attract and retain retired farangs bringing a minimum of 65,000 baht every month to be spent in Thailand? Any authorities out there thinking and having the power to address these shot sighted policies?

Hi,

I feel a little confused, I left Thailand in March and obtained a re-entry permit from the Jomtiem immigration office,

I have a retirement visa, and have my own condo in Pattaya, the same address for many years, do I have to go to immigration as discussed by peterb 17.

Yes, you need to fill out form TM30 within 24h.

I lived on Samui 12 years, never filled a TM30 form.

Jomtien and Chiang Mai immigration has to little to do.
