Malboros - Where Have They Gone?

Featured Replies

Hi to all you Malboro smokers out there!

Has anyone else noted the distinct lack of them in Bangkok over the last week? Does anyone know why?

Cheers!

Maybe Santa and his Elves normally manufacture cancer sticks when they're not tied up with Christmas, thus the dearth...

I heard a rumour that Marlboro are made under licence in the Philippines, and the manufacturer was found to be, how can I say, hmm telling porkys when submitting his tax returns !!!!

Result, Phils Govt closed down that side of production !

as I say a rumour so please dont shoot the messenger !

there the worst smokes you can buy, 7/11 is doing you a favour

As there is something like 5,000 or so 7-11's in Bangkok (Their goal is never more then 300 meters from one), I doubt you have tried but a few. I know that the 3 within walking distance of my home (outside Sukhumvit) have had MB Lights all week. Have you tried a Family Store?

I do know that Marlboros were recently mentioned in an inquiry into the Custom Dept as to declared value versus actual value, but no action was taken that I have seen. Have not heard anything about problems at the Philippine end.
